Xiao (b. 2000) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the interaction between technological extrapolation and personal emotional experiences, suggesting possibilities for integrating technology and design with the human body. Xiao employs a futuring approach to speculate on how emotions and experiences evolve over time, transforming these evolutions into narrative designs, installations, crafts, and graphic design.

In my memories, Mom was always so busy, and we hardly spent time together. She would come home from work only after I had fallen asleep, so those rare nights when we could snuggle up together were incredibly precious to me. I would kiss her face and hold her hand. As I grew older, Mom had more time to spend with me, but those once-tender moments now feel a bit awkward between us...

Love Ingestion is a series of tableware where I’ve visualized and mapped my mother’s skin data onto the pieces. By touching and interacting with these tableware items, I revisit the intimate moments shared with my mother.
