Xiao (b. 2000) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the interaction between technological extrapolation and personal emotional experiences, suggesting possibilities for integrating technology and design with the human body. Xiao employs a futuring approach to speculate on how emotions and experiences evolve over time, transforming these evolutions into narrative designs, installations, crafts, and graphic design.

“Whenever information disrupts consciousness by threatening its goals, we have a condition of inner disorder, or psychic entropy, a disorganization of the self that impairs its effectiveness.”
— Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience
While technological advances have made our lives more efficient, they also force us to deal with an overload of information and increased anxiety. This fast-paced lifestyle can sometimes make life difficult.
Additionally, the current work model is shifting from full-time to part-time, which means individuals must handle more workloads, manage more information, and may struggle to maintain a clear separation between work and personal life.
EmoDigest envisions a future overwhelmed by information explosion, using an external digestive organ to help individuals process and manage the daily influx of information, transforming it into "emotional entropy." Although emotions are abstract and elusive, I believe that, given the trend of increasing information, making emotions tangible might be a solution to relieve information fatigue.
